Women Volunteers Needed

Participate in a study on:

  "Managing Symptoms Of Mild Hypothyroidism"

Are you still feeling tired, sluggish, or not completely yourself even though you are on thyroid medication?

Are you 25 - 46 years old and interested in exploring the possibility of reducing the intensity and/or frequency of your symptoms?  If the answer is yes, you are invited to participate in a research study using A Spiritually Based Technique Called SWIFT

(Subtle-energy Wholistic Intentional Focus for Transformation).

Conducting the study, is Enid Martinez, Doctoral Candidate in theology  at Holos
University Graduate Seminary (www.holosuniveristy.org).

Please note that you must meet the following requirements to participate in the study:

You are required to:

  • provide a copy of most recent TSH test lab results (within past 3-6 months).
  • be treated for the condition and monitored by your doctor.
  • be on the same medication dose for at least the past 3 months. 
  • be willing to ask your doctor for a follow-up test to check TSH levels.
  • be otherwise healthy(no other health conditions or illness).
  • be experiencing some symptoms of hypothyroidism. 

Additionally, you must not be pregnant, menopausal (you have stopped menstruating permanently), or have any other thyroid conditions such as hyperthyroidism, thyroid cancer, or thyroid toxicosis.

 

"Managing symptoms of Mild Hypothyroidism in women through the use of Subtle-energy holistic Intentional Focus for Transformation (SWIFT)". 

The study will consist of:

Two (free) one hour sessions of SWIFT (a spiritually based energy technique that addresses the subtle energies of the body through its seven major energy centers while using focused intention for healing.  In this study SWIFT will be used with the purpose of enhancing thyroid function. 

These one-hour sessions are done in the comfort of your own home via the telephone.

In addition, you will be asked to fill out some short questionnaires and do some journaling.
