Hi:

I have been searching the internet for about 2 years dealing with hormone imbalance. I have come across your website and I feel I have hope I have had imbalance for 2 1/2 years and only been figuring it out on my own.

I finally had a complete hysterectomy Dec. 17 of 08 and that is what I requested to happen. I am only 36, but I have had my kids and felt that it was a step in the right direction. After surgery, I felt like I had a new start on life as I had tried everything before surgery. every kind of birth control, estrogen, you name it, I tried it. It is especially frustrating when you feel like every test you do you need a dr. approval.

I finally had enough, got everything taken out and felt good for about 1 month or so. I have been exercising for over a month and see no change in weight/muscle. I do have some reason my hair isn't as curly, it is dry and I have a lot of breakage. I also have dry skin and irritability and I can fall asleep just about anywhere anytime.

I have been reading on the internet anything I can about thyroid because in Oct. the doctor found a nodule. so I have a MAJOR gut feeling that I have a low thyroid even though my past blood work has been in normal range (doesn't that figure--that is what my estrogen always was ). Anyway, after reading your website I feel empowered that I don't always need a doctor to help diagnose this thyroid issue. I can actually take a test on my own and see it black and white.

I am hopeful to win this as i really can't afford the $250 for the test that I would love to take. Thanks for taking the time to read my story as it is a quick sum of the craziness my husband, kids and I have endured.

Dear Canary Club,

I wanted to say THANK YOU for providing the test that helped save my life.

After the birth of my daughter, I was extremely weak and irritable, to the point that many times I couldn't get off the floor. I saw a local doctor who told me to take estrogen, that my problems were from having low estrogen. When I asked her about testing, she said that it wasn't necessary and ignored my request. However, she did run about $400 in blood tests, all which came back "normal", and in response she said "that no further follow up was needed". I was lost and scared. I worked alongside a Naturopath, who also recommends your tests, and within days of starting treatment I was feeling better. It has now been almost 2 years since I found your website and I am a completely different person. I wake-up in the morning feeling refreshed, and I have energy throughout the day. Something I thought would never happen in my life. Everyday I am thankful for Canary Club, you gave me the ability to be the mother I wanted to be; a patient and energetic mother with the ability to raise my child in a loving and caring way.
