Spiritual Nutrition: Vegan and Live Food Mastery is the Tree of Life’s most comprehensive training program for personal transformation and for individuals knowing that education and the care of others and our planet is a core aspect of dharma or spiritual purpose. This combination on-campus and distance learning program provides a superior foundation in nutrition education, while offering the opportunity for an "Essene Ministry Certification." The core of this education is a 27-day onsite intensive and a thesis project certified by Rebbe Gabriel Cousens, MD, MD (H).

The Spiritual Nutrition: Vegan and Live Food Mastery program credits are honored by the University of Integrated Science California (UISCA -- www.UISCA.org) for a "Master of Arts Degree in Vegan and Live Food Nutrition." Spiritual Nutrition students may apply for this diploma upon graduation. Enrollment occurs continuously throughout the year. Students delight in this extensive and in-depth education in the applications, pleasures and benefits of a plant-based live-food lifestyle and support system – the result of Dr. Gabriel Cousens’ nearly 40 years of knowledge and medical experience in raw, live food nutrition. Students of this program are dedicated to the practice of its base principles within a two-year timeframe that includes the study of research, a focused thesis project, an academic and experiential Essene Ministry foundation, and core vegan course work.

The pinnacle of the program is an on-campus 27-Day Education and Spiritual Consciousness Intensive taught in Patagonia, Arizona by world-renowned live-food experts Gabriel Cousens, M.D. and David Wolfe, J.D. M.A. The Intensive includes guest lecturers, a hands-on introduction to vegan farming, personal juice fasting, psycho-spiritual development in the Zero Point course, and an Advanced Conscious Eating Food Preparation course taught by experienced Tree of Life chef instructors.

Spiritual Nutrition: Vegan and Live-Food Mastery is a unique, science-based academic program with a strong emphasis in spiritual exploration and development. It is at once challenging, inspiring and enriching. As scientific-spiritual leaders, our graduates contribute to world nutrition and spiritual health, and are relied upon as a precious planetary resource. Over the course of two years, students explore topics such as:

These studies bring about an authentic personal health evolution and professional application of nutritional knowledge. The Essene portion comprises about five months of work toward graduation. Upon completion of this work, the student is authorized as a legal Essene Minister in the United States. The ministry level of certification is only available in the Spiritual Nutrition: Vegan and
Live Food Mastery program. Many Mastery students are inspired to take their Essene studies to a deeper level by enrolling in the Essene Priesthood program which offers an opportunity to devote oneself to bringing about peace upon the planet with individualized spiritual support from Rebbe Gabriel Cousens and Essene Priestess Shanti Golds Cousens in living the Modern Essene Way guided by the Six Foundations and the Sevenfold Path of Peace. Graduates of this program are ordained by Rebbe Gabriel Cousens as a Priest or Priestess in the Essene tradition. The advanced level of priesthood requires additional on-campus work and increased devotion. The application fee for the Priesthood is waived for students in the Spiritual Nutrition: Vegan and Live Food Mastery program.
