Salivary Hormone Testing... Treating the Cause

Illness does not just happen out of the blue or in a vacuum. Illness occurs after a series of events have gone undetected and unaddressed. Symptoms often present as a series of silent screams and other times as audible shouts that all is not well. If we simply disconnected the wiring to the red light in our cars when our engines are over-heating...we will have gotten rid of the symptom...but not the problem. So it is with the body.

The underlying causes of disease must be discovered and corrected before a person will truly heal/recover from illness.

A comprehensive salivary panel (estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, four timed cortisols) has the capacity to identify many conditions; estrogen dominance, estrogen deficiency, testosterone deficiency, insulin resistance, adrenal fatigue, and will also suggest sub-clinical hypothyroid . These conditions are the precursors to deeper and longer term illnesses when left un-identified and unaddressed cause disease. Imagine knowing that the engine in your car has increased risk for overheating before it actually heats up...so instead of a red light stating this has occurred... imagine identifying what parts of the engine need attention for preventative maintenance and optimal function first?

Building optimal health works better and more surely than fighting disease. Testing for hormone imbalance allows you to recognize the potential for disease before frank pathology sets in. For example, females who have elevated testosterone or DHEA, and males with suboptimal testosterone, are at risk for insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome. Before people develop type 2 diabetes, they almost always have "pre-diabetes," insulin and glucose levels that are higher than normal but not yet high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. These elevated insulin levels can trigger the rise in testosterone and DHEA in women, or fall in testosterone in men.

Many practitioners are looking for a more potent way to practice Medicine, beyond just treating symptoms. The study of integrative and preventative care has surged as a result.  Partner with us; test now and treat right. This is how Healing happens.
